White Vultures, Peace Corps Starfighter Squadron 1493 (Medj'K'Ai Nebula, Keysh'kar), are a recently created squadron. They have been lucky in their squadron formation in that its Commander and some of the technical support staff have links with the powerful Losshaven Engineering Corporation (LEC). This means that, in addition to the squadron's official complement of eight modified Incom Z-95 Headhunters, the squadron is also equipped with four experimental LEC/SFS StarGnats. Though the latter are not hyperdrive enabled, and are normally intended to be used as reconaissance vessels or interceptors, the squadron has a modified freighter which they are using as both a micro-carrier and a retrieval ship. The primary role of the Vultures is Nebula-wide defense. Occasionally, the squadron may also have the use of a hyper-drive (x2) enabled military-grade Cob Class shuttle for special activities.
The squadron currently has a Squadron Reputation of 4 plus the reputation from the PC and NPC pilots. It's maintenance and procurement capabilities are to be defined (refer to the Snubfighters page for details).
Few Flight Officers in the squadron are yet able to be promoted to Lieutenants, showing a weakness in the Squadron's structure and experience. The structure of the squadron will be defined and illustrated when available.
