The Z-95s used by the Losshaven Peace Corps have been heavily modifed by Losshaven Engineering Corporation (LEC) from Incom's original specifications. This is partly due to a fortuitous twist of some misdirected supplies, but is also due to the insistence of the Governer in upgrading the defense corps' equipment when he can to ensure that the maximum effectiveness is achieved with the few facilities and trained staff available.
Whilst elsewhere the Z-95s have become the premier general-purpose fighter, the Haven upgrades have made them one of the most wanted fighters in the Peace Corps squadrons. Equipped with a useful hyperdrive on top of the concussion missiles frequently fitted, the cannon have been upgraded and more space has been found for consumables, giving the Z-95/782's a slightly longer range, the LEC's Z-95 is now a local - and long-distance - space superiority fighter to be reckoned with.
