Jedi Flight Officer Chumma Brin Combat Medic Ribbon*

Chumma is a typical Sullustan, always driven to see what is over the next ridge or beyone the next system. He is a little bit less gregarious than many of his kin, preferring to spend his time either alone or spaceships.

From as soon as he could walk, Chumma was driven to follow 'impulses'. Whilst this caused him all sorts of problems with never being where he was supposed to be, he invariably turned up where he should have been. Examples of this would be when he left his seat at school for no reason, only to have the light fitting smash down from the ceiling, or the time he forgot to attend a lecture on the History of the Jedi meditation process at the academy and, when he was running to get there, saw that a fire had started in a storage locker in the only area of the academy where the fire detection system had failed.

As one of the rare Sullustan who is force sensitive, he quickly jumped at the chance to try out something new and enthusiastically entered into Academy life. However there is a reason the force rarely touches the Sullustan and Chumma's over-enthusiasm for jumping from one thing to another has somewhat hampered his training, not to mention his 'jokes' have not been as appreciated as much as he was expecting.

Despite this he has proven to be an incredibly capable student when he focuses himself. This has been most noticeable with his use of certain Force skills, and his natural ability with a lightsaber. However, whilst Chumma respects the Force - or what little of it he understands - his mentors have had a hard time convincing him that his powers should be taken with grave seriousness and not used for entertainment. When the academy was destroyed, Chumma had not been there as he had 'requisitioned' an Aethersprite to follow one of his impulses. He had headed out into the Nebula following his instincts, briefly visiting the Protectors of Adhrool, before returning to Keysh'kar and finding the enclave destroyed. Immediately he joined the Medj'K'Ai Nebula Peace Corps Starfighter Squadron 782 (albeit without letting on he was technically AWOL, though senses the commander might guess).

He remains on Keysh'kar because he knows that he is here to accomplish some important task, his sense having been strengthened by the discussions with the Adhroolith. What that purpose is, he doesn't yet know, but his instincts have never been wrong.

* Combat Medic Ribbon (not normally worn) - Awarded for action vs pirates in Keysh'kar space and on MN-622f. Significant numbers of hostages were freed and Chumma's abilities in saving the lives of several colleagues during the conflict, both in hard vacuum and during combat conditions was praised by his superiors.
