Keysh'kar System DC 10: The second most important system within the Medj'k'ai cluster, Keysh'kar is home to a number of industrial concerns. A Jedi School is/was present on Keysh'kar 4, often referred to just as Keysh'kar. There are seven planets in total, two of which are gas giants and one of those having a habitable fern-moon, and also some Dolovite in the system.
The 7 planets, from innermost outwards are:
This pair are a double-planet, orbiting around each other on their normal orbit around the star Keysh.
Both are small with highly unstable tectonics. This means that access to the more difficult elements,
such as Dolovite, are sometimes easier than otherwise would be expected providing the instability came
be overcome or risked.
DC 15 Social/Physical Science: Some private mining ventures are present from miners willing to risk their own lives...
This is a hot, medium-sized planet with an asteroid belt suggesting an ancient, fragmented moon. As a
result it has constant meteor showers. A single non-regular small moon is left which may be remains of a
larger moon or the result of a pre-historic collision.
DC 15 Social/Physical Science: The lack of population makes this a generally useful, though hazardous,
open-mining planet, but requires protective and armoured clothing for almost all supervising species. The few mines
present make extensive use of droids for mining purposes.
Normally referred to as Keysh'kar, Keysh 4
is fairly chilly for humans with some temperate zones near the equator. It appears to be undergoing
an Ice Age, something triggered perhaps 400-1,000 years ago. It has largish seas and one large moon.
A Jedi College in northern latitudes is known for its cold-weather training. It is also home to one
of the Sector's Peace Corps starfighter squadrons, 782 Squadron
(Haven's Ravens), who have been
recently re-activitated in response to the growing Separatist threat. The Ravens have had some minor success
so far against local piracy and a Separatist threat, but are generally regarded as a rookie unit with little
impact, even being equipped with a motley array of starfighters de-mothballed from around the sector.
DC 10 Social Science: There is a near-human species, the
Keysh, who have adapted to the ice age but who never generated space
travel on their own.
DC 15 Social Science: A large and thriving Twi'lek community provides much of the
interesting night-life in the capital near the equator. Beyond the equatorial band,
Twi'lek otherwise find the planet too cold for their tastes. A Twi'lek dance school run by
Y'vaath Slaar is reknowned throughout the region, as
is his drug and addiction de-tox clinic.
DC 20 Galactic Lore: The Jedi College was even sometimes used by special forces,
elite clone troopers sometimes having been reported around the centre. Holonet Update Note:
Little contact has been received recently from this training centre.
DC 20 Social Science: There are also rumours of an Arkanian colony somewhere in the southern
snow wastes, the Arkanians finding such a frigid climate to their taste. Such a colony is
variably said to be mining precious gems, or is a research establishment or is just a retreat
for penitent and humble Arkanians. Whatever its purpose, few have ever claimed to have
found its location.
A Gas Giant with multiple asteroids and moons. It also has a single large and habitable moon with very primitive fern-forests, warmed by the radiation from the giant. Some primitive life is present on the planet. No discernible belts.
A Multi-Ringed Gas giant with a few objects large enough to be classed as moons.
A small-to-medium sized desolate and frozen planet, no normal life, no habitable area and is in vacuum.
