Star System: Arnok-65
Amanus is in another system which would be very second-rate in the cluster were it not for the presence of large numbers of Mon Calamari and its use as a holiday world and crafts home. This is the only system with any number of Mon Calamari.
It has 8 planets:
Arnok-65 / A A Gas giant
Arnok-65 / B Methane mix atmosphere. Hot house effect. Acidic and corrosive. Rumours that a research base was established here aeons ago have never bene substantiated, but many explorers have died trying to find it…

| Amanus Altitude and Amanus Climate |
| Note: in the climate map below, the green areas represent land with forest of some
kind, though the poles do contain a fair amount of frozen ice in the shallower areas. In the
altitude map, the darker the sea-bed the deeper the ocean, with the darkest being around 9000m
below sea level. Few of the islands are above 2000m, with only a single peak reaching
approximately 4000m. |

Amanus itself is a tropical water world, approx 35,000km (22,500m) in diameter, with a few useful
elements and a richness of life
beneath the waves and in the sky, or in the huge forests of a giant kelp-like weed. The seabed is
said to be spectacular for its range of aquatic life, particularly a huge variety of purely aquatic
sea snakes as well as the more conventional (to human) air-breathing sea-snakes living near
the surface.
The few continents that do exist are only prominent in the eyes of the Mon Calamari: they are
now mostly undersea continental shelf. The islands and island chains which do exist tend to be the
protusion of huge mountain ranges above the surface of the sea. Aesthetically they towards the
spectacular, often sided by cliffs rising straight or steeply from the sea, a rich jungle and
rainforest life clinging to the slopes, with waterfalls cascading off the slopes into the water.
The planet has attracted a large number of Mon Calamari, with a great many artists. There
are even suggestions of some Quarren in their communities in the deeper trenches. The sea its
self supports a large number of floating Mon Calamari settlements (up to Large Town size), and a
single, small floating city.
Whilst some of the islands support hotels for visiting tourists and bioscientists, on the whole
there is little else but the beauty for land-dwellers.
Suup'tan
Gas Giant with a few small asteroids as moons, but around which floats a small shipyard manned mainly by human, Twi'lek, Mon Calamari and Sullustan.
Arnok-65 / E Super Giant, 10 moons, one water/ice.
Arnok-65 / F Gas Giant, ring, 2 moons.
Arnok-65 / G Barren.
